Stephano's Pizza has been in business for 20 years in a county seat Ohio town of 6,000 residents. It is closing it's doors for good due to the economy. This was the most popular pizza business in town providing quality in house food and prompt delivery service. 17 employees are losing their jobs with some being employed there for 15 to twenty years. This is bad and a signifant sign of just how serious this economy is and getting worse.

While that is a VERY small town, I agree that things are not getting better, or by much anyway.

The pitch will be that things ARE getting better, and will take a little more time, as in 4 more years.[xx(]

My BIL just folded up his roofing bussiness after 34 years. Its a damn shame. Great guy but bussiness just went belly up.

Funny thing... back in 2009, Martha Stewart had a guest on her show saying the recession was over. I laughed as I filed for another week of unemployment after coming home from deployment.

I wouldn't want to be in the restaurant business at any time, but that goes double for today. And contractors are hurtin'. My SIL has an awesome business he and his brother put together, doing rain gutters and water conservation in Arizona. They are still busy, but a shadow of what they were four years ago. I worry about them.

Around here I get the impression that the only way your business would fail is if you simply served bad food! I've never seen a place where so many people eat out like; breakfast (a lot of people), lunch (full house), dinner (packed every night)!

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
