I got an idea, if you don't like them, don't buy them.

Said it before and I'll said it again - Glock makes excellent guns and I refuse to own them. Money goes to Austria mostly. Following the money, the benefit to Americans is much too small to warrant shifting from guns made in America by Americans and American companies.
Yes I know Glock is making some small quantities they stamp USA. Darned few people have one. The vast bulk of what Glock does slap together in the USA is for re-export to countries friendlier to USA imports than Austrian imports.
Rugers are made about a 100 miles from me. The magazines are made in Italy, I can't get around that so I have to live with it. The guns have always performed well for me, never a problem. The financial impact for America is far superior to what Glock provides.
Not so close to home but I can say the same thing about many others gun brands that I own or have owned.
When I have a choice among many manufacturers and the options allow me to maximize the benefit to my own country during tough economic times, spending money to support another country just seems un-patriotic to me.
I'm also none to fond of Foreign Aid. I see little difference if it is voluntary consumer spending or taxes doing it.
It's my every day carry gun and I trust it 100%.
It's light, it's handy, it's accurate, it's reliable.
It will also probably be my only Glock because even though it is all those things, I can't get exited about it as anything other than a tool. Like the leatherman I also carry every day.
I never drag out my Glock and admire it like I do my Colts or Smiffs because, well, it's a Glock.
How often do you see Glock owners on here posting anti-1911/Hi Power/revolver etc. threads?
Capt. Jack Sparrow.
Toyota vs Nissan
Benz vs BMW vs Audi
Glock/M&P/XD vs 1911
Colt vs Smith
.270 vs .280 vs .30-06
IMHO the proponent of "brand X" is probably still making payments on one, just bought one, or was introduced to driving/shooting/hunting with one.
These are the things make the internet run. [[8D]
Simply a matter of preference to me.
My XD's are much more natural pointers for me.
That's really all it comes down to in my case.
