Wanted to see if I could do it... I couldn't.

Local sporting goods store gets ammo deliveries on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays. Clerk said be here at opening because any ammo is gone in 30 minutes. Store opens at 9 am on Sundays so I mosied on over at 8:50 to see if I could grab a brick of 22s.
I expected a crowd or a line waiting for the doors to open but the store was open when I arrived and people were coming and going. At least, people looking to buy ammo were coming and going, the rest of the store remained closed.
They had stacked all the ammo that came in on the counter at the customer service desk. They didn't even bother to take it back to the gun department. About 15 guys were in line. They bought whatever they could get and several newbies to the situation expressed disappointment at the one box limit.
Alas, there were no 22s to be had. They had not sold out, already, they simply didn't get any this morning.
The madness continues.

I was at a sportsmanship warehouse in Southaven ms. Couple weeks ago an noticed they were signing people up for a drawing, winner got to purchase a ar15. Rifle. Every how many guns they had would determine how many winners would be selected each month. Could only win one time an only buy one gun. Also had all ammo in stock listed on a poster and had ammo behind counter due to shoplifting. Only had oddball caliber ammo though.
They were talking about doing a lottery here but customers got so upset at the idea that they dropped it. I got there at 9AM last Monday, and was seventh in line, 2nd in line for an AR. So for an hour wait I scored a Colt LE6920 (which was why I went) at pre-panic prices.
They told me my back order on 5 bricks of .22LR is due to ship April 24th. Ordered it on December 20th.
There were several people looking handling AR-15's at the gun counter. The rest of the gun area was packed.
Hundreds of cheap looking generic black plastic AR 30 round mags at $20. Some aluminum too at $25. Not selling, at least I did not see anyone take one they picked up.
Out of the lower priced 12ga shells. All the #8's and #7 1/2's I bought at $6.50 a box last month are gone.
Never could figure why they sold theirs in 40 round boxes, ten to a brick.
Not shooting any of it right now though.
