Kind of worried about it.
Still better to know than not though.
Keep us updated.
when I made the initial Appointment a month ago I told them to send me a letter with any special Instructions. They never did. That was why I went in Friday.
Now I have another tomorrow. Hope they do this one.
Went down to Syracuse today & spent all day in a hospital getting a Heart Catherization.
I had friends tell me it was no sweet, and non evasive, but I didn't find it to be like that.
I have felt tired all day, and I am on doctors orders to not lift over 5lbs for the next five days, or even drive. This is because of the meds they used, and the hole they put in my arm & artery to run the scope to my heart.
The good thing about this is they didn't find any blockage, and I got an all clear from the doctor. The bad thing is I have a lot to do around the farm, and I'm now dead in the water until they clear me to resume doing regular stuff.
So, take the test, and let them check you out. It may slow you down temporarily, but the piece of mind is worth it. And, if they do find something they will more than likely fix it before they let you leave for the day.

Endo is the one I have been waiting for for 2 years.
...but the Colonoscopy is the one the you've been excited for right? Don't lie, you can tell us the truth. [:o)] Joking!
Really glad to hear it came out well! Oregon needs folks like yourself to fight all those tree huggers in Oregon!
Til you started talking about the "butt scope".
I hate that test!
Even as a kid and my Appendix, they did not put the tube in my mouth but thru my nose. Lasted about a day and pulled it out. After that they had to keep me knocked out. My Appendix broke so they were trying to get the poison out. I spent more time in the Hospital for the Appendix than I did the By-pass. Took longer to convalescence too. Less than 2 months heart almost 6 for appendix. Lost almost 60 lbs with the Appendix.
I had a chemical stress test because of the BP meds I am on. It was not a pleasant experience, kind of felt like it would feel to have a heart attack only not as intense. The cardiologist stays right there, and they have a crash cart right there in the event they induce a heart attack.
Had that one just before my By-pass, the VA did it between you have a waiting period, they did not keep a close eye on me made me go to the waiting room. Could not stay awake and felt really bad. Think it was the guard who saved me cause he kept waking me up. You cannot sleep in the waiting area.
Today I can barely walk, left heel is really hurting. Have a real hard lump just below the Achilles tendon.

Not the same thing I had....they had me hooked up to monitors and as soon as they pushed the drugs the effects were immediate and sustained until they pushed the antidote. The symptoms it caused were quite uncomfortable and not something I would think anyone would sleep through. The cardiologist told me that what I was feeling was similar to what I would feel if I had a heart attack, and the pressure in my chest was quite uncomfortable.

Shilo,...I have had the same one as you twice now. There is a newer drug that they can use that is MUCH more pleasant than the one used in a hospital setting.
It is considerably more expensive, and is typically only used if your cardiologist recommends it for you due to bad sides from the cheap stuff. The only side effects I had were a few minutes of mild to moderate shortness of breath,....nothing like that crap I had the first time.[xx(]
