Glock mag question

With all the business about hi-cap this & that, I'm just wondering - could the mags for the larger frame Glocks be used in the smaller pistols? They seem to be the same dimensionally except for the number of rounds they hold. Presuming it doesn't violate the law, of course. I realize this is probably a DOA "no" but thought I'd ask.

the 1gen mags(nfml) will bulge when loaded.
post a pic and i can take a look if you want.
they look ok from thiry feet. how about a close up of the affected area
I would not use it as my main mag in defensive gun. Use it as a range mag, if it fails what are you out?

Was out shooting and looked at the mag (17) and the notch that holds the mag in was looking a little rough. the plastic on the mag was bulging out. i wonder if this is going to be an all of a sudden problem or will gradually start acting up?
Mine did the same thing. It doesn't stay locked in the gun anymore. It pops out when I shoot.
