It was a 5-4 decision. It is VERY important who we get on the supreme court next.

People can say all the negative things they want about President Bush, but his judge appointing skills aren't too bad.

You can't let a liberal appoint any judges. So for that fact alone I will vote for MCain. This could have gone either way. So keep that in mind when you stand in the voters booth in November.

I don't really like McCain either but I will have to vote for him to prevent the Democrats alternative.

If you read through the decision, at the end SCOTUS appears to be asking for more suits to be brought before the court to enable them to begin the defining phase of the impact of the decision.

    Pg. 63:

"JUSTICE BREYER chides us for leaving so many applications of the right to keep and bear arms in doubt, and for not providing extensive historical justification for those regulations of the right that we describe as permissible. See post, at 42-43. But since this case represents this Court's first in-depth examination of the Second Amendment, one should not expect it to clarify the entire field, any more than Reynolds v. United States, 98 U. S. 145 (1879), our first in-depth Free Exercise Clause case, left that area in a state of utter certainty. And there will be time enough to expound upon the historical justifications for the exceptions we have mentioned if and when those exceptions come before us."

Pretty much how I was thinking. How do they even slightly dispute what is written plain as day in our Constitution. Makes me very angry.[:(!]
