Heading over for the F1 boat race and spend time with her cousin .

Anyone that's been there have any recommendations on sites or places to see ?

With my knee still being bum , I don't plan on skiing .( They have an in-door ski resort , even if it's 105 outside you can ski )

Open to ideas . Think we'll be dinning one night at Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant Verre. Ramsay is known for his TV show Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Make-over . I may have to look at a car for possible import to the US but other than that my slate is open .

You can contact the guys from Accurate reloading dot com and go visit their shooting range, you can even try out the .577T-Rex and get a video of you just like the funny arab guys getting knocked on their cans.

Shopping, Dubia is a great place for shopping. Lots of party places to go to, good fishing, camping trips and just tons of stuff to do. They have lots of American eating joints, my favorite is Cactus Jacks at the Airport Millinium hotel, hell even the airport is super nice. Most everyone speaks english and are friendly however you will soon see where NYC cab drivers get their training.

Hope you chose to fly over on Emirates Airlines, that is all I fly on now, straight shot from Dubia to NYC or Houston, super nice airplanes that makes American owned airlines look like crop dusters.

Enjoy your trip, I know I love the layovers there and will be there on Dec 7 for a couple days.

My Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law went there last year. The one thing they said is do not fly On British Airways. They all got sick on the plane and said service was aweful. They missed their return flight by not noticing that it left at 4AM. It cost an extra $2000 to go the next day. That was for 6 people. They spent most of their money on the street of gold buying 22k jewelry. They really enjoyed the indoor ski resort.

I have made a few trips to Abu Dhabi, and although I flew into Dubai once I have not spent any time there. All my trips have been on BA and although I agree with the comments on Emirates air being first class, I don't hesistate to fly BA. Have had others I work with fly EA and it is as described.

You are going at a great time of year as it is not so hot now.

    Enjoy
