Any thoughts on the Glock 21C

Looking for a new carry gun, I will be selling my Glock 31 in .357 sig to help fund it. I like the .357 sig but the gun is not the compensated model. I already own a Glock 29 (the compact one) in 10mm for summer carry and would like a full size Glock in 10mm for the truck and when I am wearing a jacket or hoodie that can conceal it. Any thoughts on the Glock 21C?

As I was, it is the Glock 20C I am after, the 21C is the .45ACP model.

    You're awful confusing [:D]

Shot a Glock 21C a couple times, carry a 21SF at work. I don't recall there being a huge difference in recoil. I prefer the SF because of my hand size.

The only problem with the C models is the flash when shooting indoors or in a darken envirnment. My buddy has one in a G19 9mm and had to try out a few different loads to find one with low flash.

    I have a 21C, and I also have a factory non-ported bbl. for it.

    I like it.[^]

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of Compensated?

It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

Different barrels for different purposes. [;)]

Never shot one of C's. Isn't the vertical muzzle flash annoying, particularly if you are shooting low light?

The way I have seen it is that the flash shoots out at an angle, It should not directly get in the way, but i would imagine it plays hell on the night vision.

The compensation cut out lightens the slide regardless of using a ported barrel or not. Example the 17L
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

I carry a 19C off duty and I have to qualify annually at night and I have not observed a significant effect on my night vision or ability to locate the target over normal muzzle flash.

I went with a cut rifling barrel with comp to shoot lead too.

A number of years ago I purchased a 22C. After 4 or 5 range visits, I traded it for a 22. Just didn't like the flash and particlescoming out of the ports. I have a couple ported shotguns which I like although they are a bit harder to clean as the wad material builds up in the ports.
