Follow Home From Gun Range

There is a report today in the local newspaper that a criminal gang has been staking out two local gun ranges and then following home people who shoot there and robbing their homes sometime later. The police wont confirm or deny this as I assume they are doing surveillance trying to catch the people involved. The news paper reports at least 10 people have had their homes robbed with over 30 guns being taken. The tie in seems to be that half of the people robbed were regulars at a particular indoor gun range.
They also said there were hints of an inside job.
Dang, now I am scared as I had shot there a few times.

can you share a bit more info, as in location, not many range owners would give up that information to customers

    I don't believe it.
Thieves cherry picking gun owners for robbery targets.
Wouldn't be prudent, a good way to get shot.

I don't think this would be true ... but it is possible ... unless they were looking to rob some guns ... then a B & E in the home of a gun owner/shooter would be a good place to start ... especially when they are at the range![:(]

    How 'bout this....

If they had the patience to find and follow their victims, surely they'd have the patience to wait until the coast was clear to swoop in and steal guns.

Good luck ! I know what it took to get it into the current location it's not leaving anytime soon.[;)]

We all know if someone is very serious they can get into any safe made. But I would expect someone that serious to be looking for items more valuable than anything I have. This will stop the smash and grabs and that's all I'm worried about.
