It is amazing how someone you've never met in person, don't really know a thing about personally, yet its still a kick in the craw when you hear the NEWS. Reality strikes hard sometimes....and our time will come, no avoiding it.

"Death is nothing at all - I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without the ghost of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant..There is absolutely unbroken continuity.
What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

His threads were always interesting (to say the least) and while I quite often disagreed with him, I read everything he posted. He appeared to be a fine man, in addition to being a fine member of our forum. He will be missed here as well as in his "outside life".
I can never come up with the right words, all I can say is this is terrible sad news. I don't want to try and remember if we have had conversations. Just seeing the sadness coming from others tells me he was a good man.

MC - Very well stated, and concur with you here, thanks.
RIP Scott. Always saddening to hear of a forum member passing away. Never had any conversations with him but his passing still made me stop and think.
My condolences to those of you who knew and loved him.
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books
I can usually come up with a quick response for any thread, this one took a couple of days. Was in complete shock when I first read his passing, as some have stated. We may BS around, sling a little mud but in the end there is a little family atmosphere here with those that have been around for a while.Scott was a character, and will be missed by many of us. Sometimes, we need to take a step back and quit taking somethings so damn serious. RIP Scott, you will be missed.
I expressed some suspicion early on, but it appears the worst has in fact happened. I'm really sorry to hear it. I enjoyed his posts. I'm very sorry or his family and close friends. RIP.

Captfun you may want to take his auctions down--he has some up that are reserve auctions that run until won by someone--might save you hassles from someone who may be a bidder but does not come to the forum side http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/BrowseItems.aspx?IncludeSellers=514176

He spoke several times about his heart condition, and then proceeded to break the
Cardinal health rule.[V]
