Good pic! If it were me, the fence behind would be a different shade of red.

Is the coyote wearing a tracking thing?
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Who would put a tracker on a fox? Not like they are endangered.

Want to know what wild things are doing just ask me. Today was mowing day, but it looked like rain maybe, so I took a nap and waited on the weather to decide, but by the time it didn't rain it was getting too dark to mow. I did have a wild dream while napping.
I am not sure a wild thing once collared or marked by man can behave as it normally would. I think the other critters would ostracize the marked critter for having a human smelling, or electro magnetic emitting device affixed to it's body. I especially like the huge vibrant orange collars with the two foot antennae that they put on polar bears. Those bears got to love them.

Not a grey fox. A dark-colored red fox. You can tell by the white tip on the tail.

A vixen that color raised kits a couple of miles east of here a few years back. We saw her and her offspring near the road several times over that summer. Pretty animal.

Always wondered about that too. Some of those collars are huge.

The only wild thing I will shoot is a Possom or Raccoon. Everything else is safe.

Unless we have a food problem do to shortages, then deer will be food.

Collars give numerours amounts of population info. Such as fecudity, mortality (natural or human). Most collars are only allowed to be a certain percentage of the animals body weight to reduce any effect. At first animals usually try to get it off but after some time its just like you or me wearing a necklase. I hear they work good on rebel teenagers as well.
