OK folks. I'm thinking about addressing gun control and 2A on my radio show tonight.

is there anything specific you guys think I should cover? what legislations/treaties/laws? Know anyone that would want to come on with me to talk about it?

I know it's last minute, especially since I air live at 9pm eastern tonight. But I feel I'm being "nudged" in that direction today.

if the great Capt is ok with it.. I'd like to throw out a plug or two for GB... but understand if not.

Lemme know guys.. ok?

I'd like to know what happened to the "National Reciprocity Carry Bill". It was passed by Congress but I haven't heard anything about where it stands in the Senate. Did they bury it?

Thanks. I hope you'll update us on your covered topics. Good luck!

BTW, if you need a couple of current discussion topics, here's an update on Virginia's pending legislation to scrap the "one handgun a month" program that's been in effect since 1993:

and NY State is scrapping their ridiculous COBIS Program:

    Yes sir, NoSleep.

Lemme post the link to the show and the banner.

    www.youradionetwork.com

there's also a live chatroom that you can enter... don't worry, it's all free. When you go to the YOU Radio webpage, there's a tab on the right side that says "Show Chat".. just click on that and you can join the conversation with the other chatters. Also, I can see the chat and frequently take questions from the chatroom.

The biggest issue to me is so-called "gun-free zones." Columbine High was a gun-free zone, for example. They are dangerous places. If they are retail stores, I avoid them. If they offer services I require, I leave as quickly as I can. Our National Parks were gun-free zones, where criminals were welcome to prey on unarmed visitors. Fortunately, that policy recently changed.

What bothers me about such properties is not that I can't carry there, but rather that bad guys will see it as a safe place to commit a crime.

As for the Reciprocity Carry Bill, I believe it passed the House. This Senate -- with a Dem majority -- is not likely to pass it.

Would be very interested to hear your show.
Is it available in S.E. Virginia - Norfolk area?

Former Gov. Wilder's one gun a month law is a good topic, since it's up for repeal. [;)]
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

Actually, a lot of Democrats support it as well.

Yes sir, savage. I do have a call in number and would LOVE to take GB member calls. Tune in at 9pm eastern at the link I posted and I'll announce the call in number several times throughout the show.

something I'll be addressing on air, I just read that WV Democrat Delegate John Doyle has introduce legislation to be considered as an addendum to WV law limiting the purchase of handguns to 2 gun per month per person, and would levy a $200 fine and/or 10 days jail time to any violator.

If you could manage a few words about HR3594; the bill that axes U.N. funding when they try to take away our guns.
Rep. Joe Walsh (no, not the guy from the Eagles) R, Illinois has sponsored this bill and needs as much support as you can give.
Basically, it says that when the U.N. tries to pass a restrictive treaty of any kind related to citizen ownership of firearms; this bill cuts the funding.

You could always address the 'Fast and Furious' taxpayer funded program, that let guns pour into the hands of mexican drug cartels. How it was designed for the sole purpose of reinstating a gun ban, by blaming law abiding gun owners and gun shops.

OH.. and I JUST learned that they changed the chat room format...it makes it a bit tougher on me to read the chat and keep up with questions. but, it is what it is.. for now.

Beeramid .. HA.. I got it that time [:p]

pickenup... I sure will sir. There's so much I wanted to cover .. I realize I was all over the place.. my apologies for that. And my guest tonight is a personal friend, I love that woman to death.. and she carries a Walther..[;)]

I want to thank the forum member that called in, that was incredibly wonderful. Thank you for your opinions and thoughts tonight sir.

To the folks that were in the chat room.. I do apologize for the chat itself. It's a new format that I wasn't expecting and there are some obvious bugs that need to be addressed by the station owners. But I did read as much of your comments as I could, some were incorporated in the discussion, some were not. I'm not only the host of the show, but also the producer, so my attention has to be split between the interview, the topic, the broadcast program, the chat, the callers, and all my reference material.. all at the same time. wheew.. what a rush.. lol. But thank you to the chatters for voicing your thoughts as well.

This will be revisited, and I'd love for anyone of you to come on as guest, or call in and offer your thoughts. Obviously I am no expert, and I don't claim to be. I just want more people to know what their REAL rights are, as opposed to what the government tells them they are.

Aramisvi,I will be glad to appear if I can speak my mind on you Yankee invaders who freed my slaves. Then we can talk about the Confederate connection to the assassinations of both Lincoln and Kennedy. They just would not listen to reason,so we killed them.
Next I can speak about the God given Right for all White Men to carry a gun at his own discretion, not not be forced to ask the "Evil Empire" for permission. Then I swing directly into my hatred of all foreigners, except fine English girls like, Kate Beckingsale.
After that, I will review the "Jim Crow Laws" and see if you Yankee boys want to start them up. I could review the Glorious History of the Klan, and tell where to write for your application.http://kukluxklan.bz/and you can receive your application at:http://kukluxklan.bz/how-to-join.html
So what time do you want me there? Oh, I always carry two pistols and a knife...no problem there, ah?

What's really scary Earl is that I'm not sure if you forgot to add the green font or if it's supposed to be blue. [:D]
