They said on the news they were shutting oil rigs down in the Gulf. You bet your britches the oil companies will use this as an excuse to drive up gas prices. I filled mine up today at $3.53 a gallon and wont be suiprised to see $3.80 by the end of the week.

They are raping the truckers (and people) here. $4.20 for diesel CT
...how I long for the days when only Truckers were being raped and the people were safe.
Right on Peachtree. Near Lennox mall.
ATL is ALWAYS more expensive. Fill the heck up 20 miles outside town. You'll save thousands!!!
I bought unleaded regular in ATL for a little over $5/gal. in Feb.

In December, 2002, paid $1.14/gal.[V] right near there.
Some would complain if the oil companies paid us to fill up. [:D]
very true. understandable though. we'd probably have to go somewhere to get the check and then take it too the bank. that would be a lot of work.
We have the cheapest gas of just about any net importer in the first world and yet we still complain....
Price Conditioning... It's working on you.[;)]

It's not always about the height of the peak, but the angle of incline.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
"Just like a rubber ball..."
Anyone want to borrow it? Check the bottled water v unleaded gas before you raise your hand. [;)]
I would support a "stay at home weekend" to make a statement.
no trip to the football game, kids activities, golf, whatever.

More spent for gas = less spent for other stuff = bad for the economy.
Oil companies could make a profit at $1.14/gal.
