Well we didn't have another vacation on the schedule but when the Hurricane forced all the Surgery Centers to close I couldn't pass up a chance to take a few days off.
Stopped up at the Mountain Crossing store of the App trail
We drove out to Helen Georgia and stayed Wednesday through today. We saw Helton Crerek falls the first day, had to cross a couple fords to get there but worth seeing.
Then we went to Desoto Falls pretty awesome saw the upper and lower falls, no pics of that one my phone died
next day we hiked out to Raven Cliff,
Cool hole in a tree on the way to Raven Cliff
went to a winery of course,
went to Vogle State park, walked all over Helen, and since it was also Octoberfest we enjoyed some Warmeister Dunkel and other brews and music at the Fest hall and the Beer Garden.
then we went Toccoa and saw Toccoa Falls, an awesome falls 100 yards behind the college bookstore.
checked out the old time covered bridge in Sautee-Nacoochee, and ate allot!

Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Did you go to MY Yonah? Very cool place. There is a place to eat between Hellen and Cleveland called the Yonah Burger, great burgers.
We also learned Yonah was the Indian name for Bear. So effectively bear Mountain.

I used to live not far from there when I was a kid. I also was stationed very close to there when I was Ranger Instructor.

Looks like you and your lovely bride had a fantastic time...
I thought she was his daughter. [:D]
