funny thing is I asked my ol lady if they taste like big macs, she said ye I guess to appease me.. and she asked if I thought so, I told her no they taste too fresh.

Man they were good I made some french fries too marinated in seasoned salt and some homemade coleslaw it was all killer!!

I don't recall tomatoes! Two all beef patties, special sauce lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun, right?

whoppers are hard, they must add some kind of liquid smoke burger kings beef has a very distinct taste and quite good imo. home made bigmacs are ez.

There used to be a restaraunt in Sansom Park, suburb of Ft. Worth, called Chenaults, (formerly Courtneys), that served an Island Burger Basket. I realized later, several years later, when McDonalds came around where they had copied the Big Mac from.

The island burger was always better than the Big Mac.

flame broiled maybe but the lines of smoke flavor are already painted onto the frozen patties...

Big Macs suck. All burger-box products suck. If you want to replicate a true Big Mac, you must buy ancient Canadian milk cows suitable only for grinding into mediocre burgers. Hire an illegal Mexican, a Pakistani, and a white kid meth addict to make them for you. Always use the cheapest, crummiest ingredients. Steam it until it is well done, sit under a warming light for 20 minutes, and serve.

If you want a REAL HAMBURGER, get fresh ground chuck or sirloin from your local meat store (it will be angus or angus cross beef, from a yearling steer). Take home. Fire up grill. While warming grill, make half-pound patties approx. 1" thick. Other ingredients per your preferences, but sliced white onions are a must. Bread is your choice, but sourdough is best. Cook burgers until rare, or medium-rare for wimps. Open your favorite beer, and after removing burgers turn towards nearest American flag. Raise beer, and state "God bless America!" Then enjoy.
