Light Bulbs

Go to Wally World to replace a CFL bulb in a ceiling fan. I get there and no CFL bulbs. Guess they are pushing them aside due to the mercury content. End up buying a whole replacement of LED bulbs for the ceiling fan. That's fine, but I was surprised to see a ton of incandescent bulbs on the shelves. Thought those were scheduled to go the way of the dodo bird. In the end, I'm happy with the LEDs. I was slowly working to replacing all of the bulbs in the house with them anyway. anyway. Just was hoping the prices would come down some more .

I like the old bulbs. We put in a bunch of those CFL bulbs a few years ago and two of them started to smoke and caught on fire.

Personally, I've never cared for CFL bulbs, so consequently I've never purchased any. I put off replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs until recently when I targeted a number of lamps and overhead lights for use with Lutron Caseta Wireless In-Wall and Plugin Dimmers/Switches. So, now I've replaced about 60% of the lighting in our house with Dimmable LEDs (A19, PAR38, BR30, BR40) that can be controlled by Lutron Caseta wall/Plugin switches, PICO remotes, the Lutron Caseta App, or Alexa. Those lights that we always turn on in the evenings I have setup to turn on/off on a schedule.

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
