    An advanced collector with lots of money will meet up with that rifle some day. If you've got lots of dollars price is a moot point. Single caliber, octagon barrel, beautiful condition with a nice picture box, it's been a couple of days since I've seen one. I wouldn't about try to put a price on it.

    It looks like that to me as well, O-C, it is apparent that the wood has some minor handling marks. Finding a 75 year old piece like this one in such excellent and in its box though is rare, I'd think.

However, with the handling marks and that rust patch on the magazine feed tube (pictures 22 & 23); I just don't see that one being worth more than the $5,001 bid; even with the rarity and the goodies! However, Winchester 22's aren't my thing! [:D]
