another friend has short time left with pancreatic cancer...heard more of these in the last few years than in all my life...wonder why???

I have lived, for the most part, a decent and upstanding life. In high school I was usually at home most nights, watching a movie or maybe going out with a group of friends. As an adult I don't hit the bars, carouse around, and I usually avoid wild people and their drunken antics.

Well the hell with all that. If there's one a term that's going to summarize my life from this point forward, it's "alcohol and drug fueled naked Twister party."

No idea but it does seem to be more common. I had a friend die from it but it was not diagnosed until it got real bad.

Probably some chance the chemical soup in our food supply, along with the exposure to more chemicals in the air we breath adds to the likely hood of some cancers.

Than too the fact that as you get older so does your circle of friends, and family.

Diagnostic improvements may also explain some of the known reason versus just passed away.

None of those things make it any easier though.
