pad lock help

I have a job box at work with a commercial master lock in it.
Some yahoo filled the key hole with super glue or something similar.
My crew's personal tools and some company tools are in it.
Lock is recessed back in a hole.
Any recommendations on how I can get this opened?

if you cut the bottom off of the lock, and remove the cylinder, you can open it with a screwdriver.

Would injecting fingernail polish remover work? That used to unstick my fingers as a kid.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

It's a Knack job box. The lock, when locked, is recessed back in a hole about 2 inches, maybe.

,,,,,,,,would take a long time to dilute the adhesive,,,,,,,,,,,and most fingernail polish today has little to none 'acetone',,,,,,,,,
We have the same setup on our range box,,,,,,use the little propane torch, heat the key entrance, shove the key in and turn. If the lock cools and the key is stuck, heat the key,,,,[;)]
That is the trick. I have three of these types of job boxes and had something similar happen to me. I heated it up and had the key ready to go. Shoved it in and opened the lock. Key stuck and I had to reheat it to get the key out. I replaced the lock when I was done. I was a non union contractor on a union job. Some need to get a life.[;)]
Does it look similar to this,,,,,,?????
If it does, grind the 8 rivet heads off. Pry the bottom plate off, remove the cylinder, and open it with a screwdriver. Use a dremel, or a drill with a grinder attachment.
I know a locksmith. That's what he recommends.
Seen a lot of these boxes on job sites. Saw one where a heavy hasp was added over the pocket. A second padlock hanging on the hasp to keep it locked. The outside pad lock was considered sacrificial, for this very reason. Easy to work on if every superglued, but if cut off the better protected padlock was still there behind the hasp.

Well, I told you how to do it. I'm leaving this conversation, to take up another with a comely young lady, who is infinitely more interesting than you old farts are.

First off, thats Chunk Norris==YOU tell him it's wrong!
Second it looks like a 1911 type of gun, What do you think would happen even if the trigger is all the way back?[;)]
I have one at home, will bring it in tomorrow and try it out.
I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.
Working 7-12 hr shifts, and don't need this headache. I'm a foreman on a project.
I'm a union low voltage foreman, and one of my crew had words with an inside wireman.
We're the red headed step children of the union. Most of us are very conservative, and the electricians hate us.
They won't know when, but they will know why......... wait a minute, I doubt they'll figure it out.

Chuck's planning a move there ... there's a bad * off to the side, out of frame. Another dead ahead, hiding behind a tree. A damsel in distress in the car trunk, longing to be rescued.
Keep watching ... don't blink or you'll miss what happens next!

Thanks for all the replies. I'm home now. No access to a torch on the job site.

Chuck does't have time to wait for the recoil to drive the slide back so he does it manually.

Hit everything with water first, and put the flame to it, for about 10 seconds. Tried the key in pliers, nothing. After 3rd dose of flame, it opened right up.
Swapped the lock out, and everything is great.
You fellars are the best, thanks for the help.
Now, the slow planning starts...........
just don't sound right if nothin blows up or gets shot........
Anticlimactic for sure
