Seems in the town of Awendaw SC the old regime is refusing to annex a couple white parcels because it would "change the make-up of the voters"
While the town is agressively seeking to annex large parcels meant for development they refused to annex a couple of parcels due to the fact they are afraid if they annex the white area they will lose power in the town. Now I suppose I can understand not wanting the white folks to come in and win all the offices that have been held by the black folks for so long, however what did they plan to do about the large development parcels???!!! Make it where no whites could move in? Or if they did they are somehow ineligble for office?
