oh...that's why it was on the pad...

sorry I sound dumb; for some reason my digital cable box starts on the public access channel by default: NASA, homework help, city council, etc.
So I turned the TV on today and saw that big birdie on the pad [;)]

Their was actually 2 on the pad, the other is there for emergency rescue, they said it can be airborne in 5-7 days, if need be.
They also stated that they had a 75:1 chance of getting hit by space debris, wile in orbit with Hubble.

Working in Cocoa today on top of a 100' silo, and
could see it on the pad. Came down to assemble some
stuff, and did not think about it again untill I called
a co worker in WPB and he ask if we saw it. we were
right next to a huge load compressor, and never even
heard it go off. And they say hard work pays off, HA!
