I guess I should get my pre 64 Win 30-30 out and it's like new if he can ask that price.[:0] Asking and getting is a big difference

Try running that receiver through a bluing tank, and you will get some green, red, and purples, but nothing that looks like bluing.

That guy's asking about 800 dollars too much...

I would love to have either of those guns... and would pay about $150 for the lever action (tops) and about the same on the .22, given that new they aren't that much more expensive.

This guy is a dreamer for sure, you can buy a brand new 94 for about half of what he's asking and the Marlin only retails for a little over $200.

The only person on the planet stupider, would be the guy that placed a bid on either one.

I think that a lot of these astronomical prices are simply ruses to get potential buyers to email or call them and sell outside of the auction.

NOBODY is stupid enough to hit the starting bid, so no risk of auction fees.

I have paid much less for pre-64s.

Such a deal! Only $1000 and you get custom surface variations on the receiver.

Generally you have to pay extra for high end rust and gunk.
