Sometime in the next 2 years. Looking at the Huntsville area. Need
3 bed, 2+ bath and 15+ acres. Not in town and no neighbors OK.
Also 59 north of Cleveland.

Been there several times.
Way to damn hot in the summer!
Northern Idaho or Montana would be 'cooler'

BUT, you'll be in snow over your head for 9-10 months a year .Also,A "snowy day in July" is never out of the question...No thanks, the heat keeps my joints from locking up..[^]
That's my old stomping grounds, Cleveland, Hardin, Liberty County area.
Be careful & watch the flood zones for that area. The Trinity River South of Lake Livingston has flooded several times over the years, as recent as this past May.
That being said, IMHO when it's high & dry there is no better place to live. Hunting & Fishing, weather, and cost of living is great.
I'm jealous, wish I could come back...[|)]
Trinity +++
If I weren't so settled here in NC I would move to Texas.

Both of those places suck. Texas is much better.
I'm almost 70 yr old now, and after done that been there, I'm just wore out. Wife and I need some looking after. Neither one of u want to live on the coast again. Still Hunt and fish, I'm not dead yet.
I think you are on the right track with a smaller city,,at least that's what I would want.
Asks this OKIE [}:)][:D]

I'm sure they appreciate the warning. [;)]
The state is big enough you will find the terrain you like.
100% correct. I spend my work week near the coast and weekends in the Hill Country! God Bless Texas!

Amen. The traffic in Austin is terrible. There is always construction, either north or south of the city, for miles and miles.
There are always traffic jams. I drove through Austin one Sunday afternoon, there was 4 miles of stop and go traffic downtown on I 35, and there was no wreck.
God help you if you try to go through Austin on a Saturday afternoon when there is a football game.
Then, you go around Austin on the great new toll road and you pay through the nose.
I 35 within 80 miles of Austin in either direction is the only part of Texas I don't like.
