A member of another forum that I frequent was in a motorcycle wreck last night. Here is the post from that forum.

quote:"Contender* "was returning from a trade with another woodies member this afternoon, when a woman pulled in front of him making a left turn, and stopped, he couldn't avoid her, and the result wasn't good. He's got several broken bones and lots of cuts and bruises, but not life threatening. I'm told he'll be having surgery when the swelling goes down in a couple days. I was told he was lifeflighted to North Fulton in Roswell and will remain there for a week or so. Needless to say the bike in his avatar is totaled. This is all I know right now, will visit him tomorrow. Remember him in your prayers

I know that there are a lot of guys on this forum that like to ride too, so I would like you guys and gals to send your prayers and well wishes to him as well. Thank you.

A woman pulled in front of him making a left turn.

That's the cause of half the motorcycle fatalities.
I hope this guy does well.

i hope he gets over it soon.
it would be hard laying in bed waiting for the swelling to go down before they can fix him.

Not life threatening....he "may" be one of the lucky ones. Hope so.

That is exactly what she said! I haven't gotten to ask him yet, but I would almost guarantee that she had a cell phone stuck to her ear!

Update: He had surgery on his knee and ankle today. They had to pin his ankle back together. They are going to try and get him up and onto his good leg tonight. If he is doing well, he will be able to go home Sunday or Monday. They still haven't figured out what to do about the orbital bone that was fractured (open faced helmet) but he may have to have more surgery to fix that.
But he is doing as well as can be expected.
