I have a Krag rifle dated 1901 on stock. Can I ship it to a C&R License person. Thank You

Had a dealer who told me he got burnt by a C&R but wouldn't tell me how. Then he backed out of a offer he had taken on a gun, after a FFL and Checks were sent.
Of all the guns I have purchased on line I have returned one. The gun sent was not the gun advertised, even the wrong caliber. I have sold only three guns in the last 5 years and that was to upgrade guns I have in my collection
I would just like to know what kind of problems dealers have with C&R buyers.
A gun does not have to be 50 years old to be a C&R gun. There is a list of guns that the C&R license applies to in the C&R manual on line.
Do you have to keep everything you acquire using a C&R separate from what you already own?
I just wonder if it's more trouble than it's worth, that's all?
In advance, thanks for your input/help. [:)]
I also wonder about the people who insist handguns be shipped FFL to FFL. That needlessly raises the shipping costs.
When they come to get your GUNS, make sure to give them the AMMO first!!!
Please provide link if you know.
Thanks for the help
Thanks
Todd
I recently learned that I cannot legally ship a handgun to a C&R FFL via the USPS. Gotta use UPS or FedEx. Very expensive next day air service is required for either, I have to drive 30 miles for UPS, and the counter clerks often don't understand what they are allowed to do. I can't take the chance of being turned away by some ignorant and rude counter clerk and then being unable to ship a gun that is already paid for.
So, I will ship a long gun to a C&R holder but not a handgun. Sorry.
FFL to FFL shipment of handguns can be a lot cheaper than an individual shipping a handgun. A FFL can send them thru the mail while an individual may only ship a handgun overnight UPS or FEDEX.
I've heard a few people selling guns say they won't ship to C&R licenses because the shipping is too much... (yes I understand it has to go 'common carrier' air for pistols). But are the sellers not charging the buyer for shipping?? Maybe they're just trying charge flat rate shipping or something [?][?][?] Just doesn't seem to make much sense to me.
On other hand what nunn says makes a lot of sense. If I don't happen to be here when the ups/fedex truck comes by I'll have to go pick it up. One of those businesses has the local hub about 12 miles from here, the other about 3x as far.
If its sometime I really want I will go threw the extra hassle of the 3rd (sometimes 4th) people in the loop. But if its only an 'ok' deal or something that I can easier get elsewhere, probably be like 11b6r, say thanks and look someplace else.
