My Grand Nephew shot a 3 pointer toady. Not once, Not twice but three times with THREE DIFFERENT GUNS. That is another story I will share with pics tomorrow.

The kids and I are tracking the buck along the edge of a field. When here comes Sister Bertha Betterthanyou yelling something about the Bible says that it is wrong to kill and I am going to hell all the while waving a bible. Shame on me for teaching my kids such behavior. We walk another 50 yards and spot the deer. She is still going on until I had heard enough.

I ask her if she read her bible.
Oh yes every night she says.
So you know it pretty good then right?
Yes I know my bible very well thank you.
Then you know that I am doing exactly what the bible says to do correct?
Stunned look with a "What do you mean? The bible does not tell you to kill animals.."
Well no not animals, it tells me to kill deer.
NO IT DOES NOT!!!
Are you sure you know your bible?
YES I DO.. She was almost screaming at this point.

What version do you read?
The King James version..

I just calmly told her to read Genesis 27:3 and let me know what it says..

She flipped the pages, lips moved as if reading for a couple of seconds, she turned and walked off.

We got the buck and headed home for it was getting dark..

But were you using a bow? And how do you remember obscure passages like that? I Googled it.

It really was a very good response.

I will not give it away. But read the King James Bible version of the passage carefully.. [:)]

My grand father told it to me the first time that I saw him with a deer that he had killed. I was maybe ten at the time and never forgot it.
