A friend has a 1983 3/4 ton chevy truck 4x4 with a meyer snow plow, engine is a 350 put in last year. truck looks good but needs front brakes and calipers. 4x4 works fine and engine purrs. I would like to have this to clear parking lots in the winter. He said I could have it for $1500. what do ya think?

nice V8, easy to work on. leaks are easy to fix.
snatch it up
that leaves the truck being worth 500$
Worth it. Get it.
Looks like the same plow, just more paint.
Thanks guys, that is the plow jacob. I bought it.
So you know what that plow goes for if its in decent condition..
Good job. Im sure youll enjoy it.
Biggest thing to look at when checking out an old Chevy is the rocker panels and the floor boards on the side/s that the exhaust runs on.
All I see that it needs for plow work is a new set of Co-Op tires. They are sold at Southern States stores and for the 7.00 x 15 they cost just a little over $100.00 each. They look a lot like Groundhawg tires that are popular with off road mud running. But are a Bias ply and tough as nails.
serioulsy, thats a great deal.

tranny is fine, of coure everthing is leaking a little bit but I drove it, put it in 4x4 and locked in and out fine, doesnt overheat. needs a little bondo work around rocker to pass inspection, radio doesnt work. Ill take a picture of it (ugly).
Huh?? Your vehicle inspection laws won't allow dents? If true, that's some real BS!
In any case, that's a great deal...especially for what you want to use it for!!
Hey FCD, dents are fine but they dont allow rust to go thru.
Buy it and paint it green.
Ooooh you'll be pretty in pink in that pink truck. [:o)]
Buy it and paint it green.
ITS NOT PINK,,,its periwinkle...[:X] If I make it look nice someone will steal it.
Be sure to put the PCV valve back into the valve cover where it belongs. Don't want you sucking the engine full of dirt.[;)]
