I thought the news would relax a little but they jumped to how bad it is mixing with the cold front now...
I've never heard Tropical Cyclone before, thought a cyclone was a geographical thing you know.. hurricane here.. monsoon in Asia ? typhoon somewhere

So why wasn't Hurricane Epsilon in 2005 a "Post Tropical Cyclone"?
    It was 11/29 - 12/9 2005

Winds are still over 75 mph, last I heard that still ranks as hurricane force winds.

Also, the hurricane isn't what we have to fear, it is the cold fronts coming down from the North, and from the West that are joining up with Sandy's wind.

Up here on the New York Vermont border its been a little rainy but the wind is nothing to write home about. If you listen to the local news you would swear it's the end of the world. They don't have much to crow about, so they all zoom in on a fallen tree and film it from every which way and then ask the local home owner how he is bearing up and God Bless the Red Cross.[:)]
