Ugh, no open shooting ranges

One was closed for memorial day weekend because of the graveyard beside it and the other one was taken up by one man [:(!]. He was shooting across 3 shooting ranges at this facility to get 1000 yards and of course I brought a 30-30 and an M-1 carbine so no shooting for me. It was one of the range "guys" that were required to be there at all times so I guess he just decided to set up a nice little shooting spot on top of a hill when things got slow. He had a spotter down in the pits talking to him via 2 way radios and I wasn't about to drive over there and ask to use the range. Some people just shoot like they own the place. I spent about two hours driving around, but I did get a nice veiw of the country side.
