Id post a pic of what a real table saw can do to a thumb but its very gross and would probably get poofed I will post a pic of the healing after 4 weeks sometime
Is that why your called Sawz....[:D]
Good Idea but I will stay with My push Sticks and Feather Boards.
I'm with you. After one hit like that I bet the entire saw is pretty much junk.
Too old to live...too young to die...
Luckily have not had to replace any blades or modules.
Practice safe procedures of operation and all is well.
PS: Whether there has or has not been reference to this mechanism before, it is relevant and useful to have it here now. Not everyone checks or searches through years and years of posts and not everyone is chained to their PCs like some of us. [:(]
Never expect to have an accident. Especially the seasoned carpenters
interesting...
FEENIX - that was quite intriguing and dramatic, thanks. [^]

he works at a c-store........they are less smart than the managers.

I have got tangled with a couple saws/routers in the past, luckily not losing a finger, just some meat off of them. And yes, in every instance, it was due to carelessnes and negligence on my part. Sure leaves you with a greatly heightened sense of safety awareness, though!
I sure as hell ain't going to do this, but come on man, if you're going to do it, do it. Slide it up like you were cutting wood. Like you did with the hot dog.

Sad thing is I have never heard of it myself ... it popped up in my FB as best videos or something like that. I totally agree with you, for $60 it's quite a safety feature and an investment.
IIRC, The saw stop folks are lobbying to have that on all saws sold in the USA....
Don
I heard on some woodworking forums that all other manufactures would also need to buy the mechanism from SawStop due to patents!

Yep, that is what I heard....Nothing like having your product mandated by the government at your request [xx(][:(!]
Don
The new kids breaking
into woodworking don't
have to be careful around
a tablesaw.
Like all else,the lobbyists
will watch out for their
greater good.
(Six months of sawdust,grime
and crap= fingers on the floor.)
