Sitting around Sadr City the last week or so has made me open my eyes up quite a bit.

Some of these kids were born after the war started and know nothing else. I can't imagine seeing what their eyes have seen.

Seems to me, most of us wouldn't have as big a smile on our face as these young'uns do.

Just wish they wouldn't beg as much as they do LOL.

    hehe, MISTA MISTA!!!

US sues to block South Carolina illegal immigration law

Posted on November 2, 2011 by Cowboy Byte

The Obama administration is taking South Carolina to federal court over an immigration bill the state passed in June.

The South Carolina bill is the latest attempt by a state to take on immigration reform directly. Supporters of the South Carolina law say the Obama administration is not doing enough to enforce immigration law and keep undocumented immigrants from entering the US illegally.

"This state can no longer afford those who don't come here the right way and we are now going to do something about it," said South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (R) in a statement released the day of the bill signing

Did Russia need to send 16K troops to the border for an election they supposedly knew would over whelmingley favor them?

Why after the vote did Russia see the need to take military bases by force that supposedly had voted 98% in favor of joining Russia?

What do you think the people of Crimea are thinking with all this military might being bestowed upon them after voting to join Russia?

Why in the world are liberals so frickin' ignorant to the facts? I'm having an argument on Facebook with a 2nd cousin who says Obama isn't a socialist, and doesn't want to outlaw guns.

do some of you jump on Joe's * when he spells words wrong but don't say a word when someone else does it? For instance, SUER? Do you think you are funny? Does it make you feel you are smarter than him? Does it make you feel like a big man to put down a 75 year old man? If it does any of these things I feel sorry for you.

Paleobrute posted controversial questions challenging the logic of some of the basic tenets held here on GB.

Rather than debate freely the merits of those questions, he is labled a "troll" and vilified.

(in the midst of that a poster said something to the effect that the 1st amendment is ok up to the point it infringes on the 2nd)

a moderator stepped off his podium of, egads MODERATION, and waded in with dukes up...

This isn't a forum of ideas, but a cult of personality (or lack thereof)

some of you need to learn to think

I'm connected to the internet on several different devices several different ways. One is a wireless, one is a mainline, and the other is 4G on my phone. Each are seperate from each other.

All three ways went down at the same time and now I can only connect to certain websites (this being one of them). There are no restrictions on or filters. Why would all three seperate ways go down and stay down for awhile? Sorry for my ignorance, but I have no idea how the internet works.

I ask this Question in another forum and was astonished at the answers I got. Lets see what you in here have to say.

    QUESTION:

Why is it some people feel it necessary to use vulgar four letter expletives in every other word in their conversations?

Do you think it is an exceptable means of conveying a point in a conversation?

Sucks to be them. Russia is going to continue creeping into Ukraine. Ukraine should cut off all the utilities to Crimea. But if they do, then Russia will use this a pretext to attack Ukraine and take their reservoir. I suppose it doesn't matter what Ukraine does, they are screwed.

The Ukraine is in the unfortunate position of owning the Crimea which is in the unfortunate position of owning a warm water port which Russia needs. I don't think anybody thought there was a chance in hell Russia wouldn't invite Crimea to rejoin the USSR regardless of which way the vote went. 98% either way would have make no difference.
The road to hell is paved with COMPROMISE.

Luckily, Obama was doing his bracket so we averted being dragged into a war!

Seriously, I am curious what the people are thinking.

I think all the former soviet states should form a pact to keep Russia back.

Russia isn't as powerful as it used to be and getting bogged down it a long war could hurt them badly.

I will get flamed up the butt for this BUT as long as Russia stops at Crimea,,I have no problem with it, the people of that region have tried to go back to Russian control ever since it was given away to the Ukraine, I have watch several news agencies, several overseas internet news clips and the people of that region honestly wanted what they got, NOW I am not talking about the people from the Ukraine I am talking about the people living in Crimea.. They had a DEMOCRATIC vote which is what we claim we stand for and it went the way it did..To me I see it no different than say Wyoming decided to have a vote to leave the United States , If the people of that state overwhelmingly decide in a Democratic vote then so be it, Its funny this country only wants Democracy when it falls in line with what the people in power want, if it goes against the current political leanings then its claimed the peoples vote does not count.
