All of you natives of the great Pacific Northwest, the Carson Gun Show is coming up Saturday, April 4th. The show opens at 8:30AM, and is on the ground floor of American Legion post 137, MP.82L Wind River Road, Carson, WA. The next show will be the first Saturday of June.
I guarantee there will be no Sham Wows or beef jerky for sale. There will be a limited offering of Miss Vikki's Huckleberry Jelly on my table.
The weather is going to be rainy and nasty, so, jump in the old grocery getter and drive to Carson. $2 to get in the door, free parking and we'll even buy you a cup of coffee.
W.D.

I was hoping that I'd win the bid on that Model 56 so I could pick it up on Saturday, but if I'm counting correctly, the bid doesn't end until Sunday- oh well I'll probably get out bid anyway. Still planning on making a run down to Carson and maybe have dinner at the Golf Course. My dad is too paranoid to leave the house, so it may be just my wife and I.

Sounds like a good time but you fellas have got to start scheduling these things better! My wife has me all lined out for the weekend already, in addition to all the work I am behind on. One of these days... (he said for the umpteenth time!)

Steve, we have got to figure to meet in Carson maybe sometime in the Fall/Winter when the HoneyDo list is shorter. The show is a hoot, and the best part is listening to WD and some of his buds flick each other 'stuff'. I sat there all day last October and laughed myself silly most of the day.

It turns out WD knows some interesting characters. [;)]

After 'listening' to him on GB for a few years and having spoken with him on the phone, I can tell he's a bit of a character himself! I think we'd get along just fine.[^] You, too. BTW!

Take the western exit from US 14, go north about 1/2 mile, it's the first large building on the left; before you get to the town proper. A blind man could find it in the dark.

If I can make it I will be coming from west of Portland, so 84 EB. Should I take the bridge of the gods exit?

I-84 to Cascade Locks, cross Bridge of the Gods (last time I crossed it the toll was $.50 one way, $.85 round trip, more now). East on 14 through Stevenson. the Carson Junction is at the top of a hill, left turn across traffic, then just up the hill to the VFW hall. From East Portland figure just short of an hour.

What do you mean VFW??? It's the Coy Catlin American Legion Post 137, MP.82L, Wind River Road, Carson WA.
Ray told you correctly coming from Portland on 84, cross the Bridge of the Gods, go east on SR14 just past MP 48, take a left on Wind River Road toward Carson. There is a sign right in front of the door on the left side of the road, that says Gun Show. It is pretty hard to miss.
We can talk old Winchesters, K & N frame Smiths, high lead logging, tree trucking, quarter horses, good whiskey or comely women, whatever floats your boat.[;)]

Not from me; I intend on making a few purchases that happen to be C&R eligible & quietly giving the seller a copy of my license; then walking out the door with my purchases, & see what happens.

It's bi-monthly, if that's the correct term: 1st Saturday of even numbered months.

It hasn't had much effect. We have an FFL at every show.
