    That is a nice 88, if it where some thing besides a 308, I'd keep it. I've got a really nice 5 digit 308, and a 61 vintage 284.
    This rifle belonged to a school teacher. Typical Carson hunting rifle, detachable magazine and a post and cross hair reticle.
    Every scoped hunting rifle my Dad ever owned had a post and cross hair scope reticle.

    I have a Win 88 in .308 also, from the first year of production (1955). Mine has the same leather sling, but a with a Lyman All American 4x scope, Weaver pivot scope mount, and leather scope covers. Plus it still has the original adjustable iron sights.

    Fun to shoot now that I got my shoulder fixed. [:D]
