I just listed a 1967 vintage Remington 700 BDL in 350 Remington Magnum, for those of you that are interested. Very nice rifle, the barrel has been cut to 19", like the model 600s where.

Was just speaking with my gunsmith/gunshop owner friend in Edmonton, Alberta and he told me that Remington is coming out with a new model called the 673 and it will be chambered in 350 Rem Mag and the 300 RSAUM. Think I need one of these as 35 caliber is one of my favorites. This one has a 22" barrel with the same stupid looking vent rib and front sight as the older 600-660's had.

I wonder why the guy lops the barrels off? Still looks nice though.

To get in and out of his rig, and pack through the brush, is what he tells me. I sold a 35 Whelen of his, about 2 years ago on the auction side, it was the same way.
I've shot this 35, it shoots just like a long barrel, at least at 100 yards it did.
