Ken owned two Doberman dogs that he allowed out in his front yard from time to time but they usually stayed in the fenced back yard. Well wouldn't you know it, the lot next to Ken's house sold, a new house was built, and Ken now had neighbors. Well as it would happen the new neighbors had a cat named Fluffy. THe new neighbors told Ken and his wife that Fluffy was a inside and outside cat. Fluffy stays outside in a very large cage on the back deck at nite and in the house during the day. Late one evening after Ken arrived home from the bar he decided to let his 2 dogs out front because it was late and he would bring them in shortly. Ken fell asleep in the living room chair and 2 hrs later he ran out into the COLD late November air to locate his dogs, one was waiting at the door and the other was trying to cover up what Ken thought was a bone in the corner of the flower bed... Well as Ken came closer he realized that his dog was not covering up a bone he was trying to bury the next door neighbors cat, Fluffy.... Ken paniced - He put the dogs in the back yard went inside and woke his wife. Now it's 2 a.m. in the morning and after he explains to her that he fell asleep and when he awoke he found that one of their dogs had killed Fluffy and brought Fluffy home he did not know what to do.... His wife thought for a few minutes and told Ken to go get Fluffy and bring the cat to her. Now Ken's wife is a hair dresser by trade so here is what they did. SHe told Ken to take the dead cat and give it a bath, a good bath, rinse it well and bring it to her. Ken did and then she proceeded to blow dry Fluffy completly. It's now 3 a.m. and Ken's wife tells Ken to take Fluffy back over to the neighbors house and sneek up on the deck and put Fluffy back into her outside cage, close the cage door, and when the neighbors wake up they will think the cat died in its sleep. When Ken arrived the cage door was open, confirming that the cat had gotten out earlier that night. He carefully laid Fluffy back into the cage and cloased the door. He went back home, got a couple hours sleep and headed off to work the next morning. Three days later Ken arrived at home after work and on his answering machine there was a message from the Pearson's, their new neighbors asking that Ken call as soon as he arrived home from work. Ken did nothing until his wife came home and they decided that if the call was about Fluffy, they would fess up and tell the Pearson's what happened. Ken called the Pearson's and was suprised when Ms. Pearson invited Ken and his wife to a Christmas Party the next week at thier new home.... Ken and his wife went to the party and was having a good time. About two hours into the party Ken decided to walk out on the deck to smoke with others and here is what he heard Mr. Pearson tell several of his friends....

You will never guess what happened guys - About two weeks ago I got up one morning and when I came outside to feed Fluffy and bring her inside I walked up to her cage and she was dead.... My wife loved Fluffy so much that I could not bring myself to wake her and tell her so what I did instead was take Fluffy to the side of the house and I burried her. When my wife awakened I told her want happened and she was upset but thanked me for burring Fluffy. Well I guess Fluffy was not really dead because the next morning when I went out on the deck there was Fluffy in her cage, as clean as could be... but she was not moving... This time I carried Fluffy to the vet to confirm she had died before I burried her again... I guess cats do have 9 lives..... Ken never told the Pearson's anything different.....
