We think artist Johannes St?tter has done a fabulous job with this amazing body art exhibition. Look at the rest of this gallery to see a variety of breathtaking images!
#14 Pineapple Woman
We absolutely love this body art project by the Italian artist, and it isn't hard to see why! While the 'human pineapple' isn't exactly difficult to determine from the other pineapples, you have to admit - the artist has done a fantastic job making this person's head to appear as a pineapple that is as realistic as possible!
#13 Watermelon Head
Johannes St?tter studied at the University of Innsbruck in Austria, and since then the artist has developed a whole range of artistic techniques and tricks! You'd be forgiven for having to look at this photograph numerous times before determining which watermelon is actually a person's head painted to represent one!
#12 Earth
The artist also loves to delve into each season, depicting people as realistic works of art. We think this one in particular has produced a fantastic effect, and we especially love the appearance of the cracked soil. Johannes St?tter fuses this human with the nature that surrounds him, and his talent is truly to be commended.
#11 Spring Petals
This photograph is another series in the artist's body art portrayals of the seasons, and we love this one that features beautiful spring petals. Not only is Johannes St?tter an award-winning bodypaint artist, but he is also a talented musician. He can sing, whistle, and play various instruments such as the violin, bouzouki and guitar.
#10 Fall Leaves
Wow, if this breathtaking work of body art does not impress you, then we don't know what will! Firstly, the artist has successfully blended the person's body into the surrounding fall leaves - We actually had trouble determining where the real leaves end and the person's body begins! It isn't hard to see why the artist was titled the Bodypainting World Champion in 2012.
#9 Man vs Violin
This artwork is absolutely amazing! From afar, it is impossible to even see the human figure present in the photograph. It would not be easy incorporating a human body into a photograph of a stationary object, but artist Johannes St?tter seems to do it with ease. We wonder how long it takes all up to paint the person and position them correctly?
#8 Hidden Wooden Man
This project could not have turned out more perfect, wouldn't you agree? To be able to camouflage a person as they stand in front of a pile of wooden logs is not an easy task, but as usual, Johannes St?tter makes it look like a 'piece of cake'. The patience of the artist's subjects must also be commended - We can only imagine how long they must stay in a stationary position for!
#7 Oriental Rug Camouflage
Oriental rugs can have very unique and tricky patterns, but as soon as you add a person into the mix, you've got yourself a real challenge! Johannes St?tter was able to successfully mimic and copy the pattern of the oriental rug onto the person, and the end result is seamless! The artist has been entering body art competitions since 2001, so he has some experience up his sleeve!
#6 Anatomy
Since 2011, Johannes St?tter has been holding anatomy-related bodypainting workshops at Yoni-academy in Innsbruck, Austria. Here is a breathtaking example of one of the artist's anatomy body art paintings. A lot of detail and research has gone into this project, and the overall effect is mesmerizing!
#5 Blending In
This photograph is amazing, we can hardly believe our eyes! The artist has managed to paint the skin and clothing of this boy so the he perfectly blends in with his surroundings of this beautiful green field and the bright blue sky. Johannes St?tter, you never cease to amaze us! This would have to be our most favorite bodypainting project by far!
#4 Desert Gardening
Here is another example of a child being painted to blend perfectly into the landscape. We think the artist has achieved the perfect camouflage with the girl's desert-pattern clothing. How much fun it must be to witness one of these projects unfolding - from the painting stage, to the positioning and photographing stage.
#3 River Boy
Water is a tricky substance to imitate, as it involves varying colors and numerous different shades and hues. Johannes St?tter certainly isn't scared though, and he gave it his best shot for this body art project. We think he succeeded 100% though - just look at the way the boy's face seems to blend perfectly into the background.
#2 Human World
This project is part of the artist's 'Human World' series, and the artist has done a fantastic job at camouflaging this person into the liquor cabinet behind them. The artist has traveled all over the world for his famous body art paintings, including: Austria, Italy, USA, Turkey, and Germany.
#1 Worldly Mind
Not only has the artist managed to paint a realistic map of the world on this man's head, but he has also succeeded at painting an amazing galaxy pattern. This artwork is from Johannes St?tter's series titled 'Gaia'.
