that show on discovery... they're being asked to "tacticooolize" a tommy gun![:0][:0]
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

I saw it for the first time the other day. Very sad show. IMHO it makes a lot of people look really dumb including themselves.

Nothing said I can not agree with. There new show last night they turned an AK47 into what they said was the first AK-sniper rifle ?

I guess they never knew about the Dragonov ?

A Dragonov aint an AK. Completely different. It is more like an SKS then an AK.

the gun they made wasnt really an AK either. One look at the gas system pretty much clears that up.

Krebs custom built a concept gun in the 6.5Grendal Alexander arms chambering. that gun would be capable of 1000 yard hits with decent ammo and scope. and it would probably weigh in about 10 pounds less.

I dont poopoo on the RJ folks tho. gotta remember Discovery does the editing.

What little history that I know about the Dragonov and I have read its basic design was taken off the AK frame ?

So I am only stating what I have read .

Well, it is sorta kinda like an AK, the external controls are alot like the AK. the op handle is on the same side, and works the same way, the safety is in the same place as an AK, and the magazine is rocked in and out like with an AK.

but internally the Drag is a whole different animal.

I guess I failed to see the entertainment value in an idiot with 'proper federal licensing' treating firearm safety with complete and utter disregard.

A guy brings in an Arisaka & they decide they have to use reduced loads because it is so old. Hello, it's an Arisaka. One of the strongest military rifles ever built. They also say it doesn't have a safety. I wonder what that knob on the rear is for?

I thought I read somewhere on here about the new shop guy was
"one of our own", referring to him being a Gunbroker Discussion
Group member of some credit. In fact, wasn't he the guy who brought his homebuilt MP42 or 44 to the job interview? And got his ponytail cut off on the program one night? And didn't you guys talk about how he was gonna' make that show right and represent us by wearing a GB
shirt? ....Or, maybe I just dreamed all this stuff!![:0]

Kinda like the episode where a guy brought in an original M1919 machine gun and asked for it to be turned into a shoulder-fire capable weapon.

    Made me sick...

Series first aired in late winter / early spring this year.

Quite the topic here on GBF, if you want to search old posts.

Watched the entire series, in hopes they would improve - they didn't! [;)]

I'm sure GESSHOTS remembers when all of GB was rooting for "one of ours", to straighten out the show, But since that nite when he was indoctrinated into the RJ family, I haven't seen him again! Maybe he just brought too much Real to their Reality show?

I personaly, get tired of the overly dramatic way Will(the boss) expresses everything. I don't think he could say he was going to take a dump without trying to make it sound like a real long quote from a Shakespeare play.

(i.e.)Will at RJ: "Gather around my children. What we are challenged with is to muster our dedicated troops of likened thought and goal and present to our asteemed foe a dark cloud of deadly spiraling projectiles precisely directed at each and every one of their soon to be expired carbon-based bodies![8D]

    (i.e.)Us at GB: "FIRE!"[:(!]

What got me was the episode of the triamese M16's. What were they thinking, the gas tubes were going to stay in how??? That they were going to stay in by themselves that the bolt carrier key wasn't going to push them back out.
