Also Im looking at this copy now a member went to alot of trouble to find the website for me.But the 186 series is also of question. Not the ranch rifle just the Mini-14 does someone know the year or years the 186 series was made?and what the new series should be first three digits?

Your question is unclear to me. What is CPL? Are you carrying the pistol or shipping it? Is it crossing state lines?

I haven't lived in Mich for over 5 years, but when I did live there it was NOT legal to loan any handgun to another person. A friend and I almost got in trouble when he loaned me a 44 cap and ball pistol, the state trooper just warned us, so I checked into it.

Unless Mich has dropped the registration requirement, I would say still a no no.

It is now legal (as of 2012) for a CPL holder to borrow any registered pistol from it's legal owner, in Michigan. There is no need for it to be CPL holder to CPL holder.

"MCL 28.432 An individual can carry, possess, use or transport a pistol belonging to another individual, if the pistol is properly licensed under the Act, and the individual carrying, possessing, using or transporting the pistol has obtained a license to carry a pistol concealed permit from Michigan."

In the South, we do as we please. We don't need the permission of this evil Yankee Empire for anything.

In fact, in 1963, I was 10 years old, but my good friend Lee needed to borrow a rifle to go hunting in Texas. I lent him a cheap Italian rifle for the Thanksgiving Holidays.
He never did return that rifle, so I will never lend him another.

My Great, Great Grandfather lent J.W. a derringer for personal protection, and he ended up losing the pistol after some commotion in a theater in Washington City.

It just never pays to lend out your weapons.

I thought you loaned out 3 rifles in 1963. [;)][:D]
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books
