OMG...must...stay...cool...can't...type...fast...will...melt...why...why...does...the...a/c...god...hate...me...?

My a/c crapped out the last night. Took the day off work to wait for the repair man...when will he be here?

    I wonder why AC's never crap out in the winter. It's always in the hottest part of the summer. Go figure.[8D]

    repair man just left...burned up fan motor in the compressor. They will have to order one and then see about installing it. since I am not off until thursday, that will have to be the day.

    Since there is no way I am staying here, where is the closest motel 6?

    Try running A/C for a few minutes during winter/off months, this will save alot of headache.

    tuesday: no luck finding the part.

    wednesday: found a replacement in pa. The manufacterer will overnight it to the local distributor for the a/c repair place to pick up.

    thursday: called me at 3:30pm,was at the movies,(Indiana Jones had just began...it stunk)+($8 for a matinee movie, who are they kidding) have the part will be out between 8am-10am on friday.

    friday: repair man showed up at 9:15am... the part DID NOT FIT. he called the office to try to see if they could swap for another type. they will call me back later. after the repair man left, I looked at the a/c unit, there is a sticker on the outside that says "for replacement parts call 214-xxx-xxxx. wth.. I called them gave them the model number and he rattled off the motor part number that matched the front sticker, says he has 5 distributors in my area that have the part...wth.

    I call the a/c shop and tell them...they will call me back. 5pm the repair guy comes back with the CORRECT motor from the local guy. I could have had a/c 4 days earlier.

    the temp inside has dropped 10 degrees in about 3 hours, I hope since the sun has gone down it will drop another 10 before bed.
