I had my surgery last tuesday. I was out of surgery and awake at 11am but i was real nausea, they gave me some medicine and it didnt help kept getting sick,by 3:00 i said lets go home, still not feeling good.
Got home still sick, wed we went to the er,got some medicine and fluids felt ok,then worse during the night, back to the er on thursday, got more fluids and medicine and they admitted me.
went to the restroom at 8am thursday and at 5am friday and after 4 bags of fluid i went to the restroom again.
got discharged friday afternoon and have been feeling better ever since, eating and drinking again.
had my one week check up yesterday and the toe is healing up just fine, sutures come out in two weeks,no more home health nurse and the picc line will come out in two weeks also, woohoo
this has really been hard but thanks to Nunn and my great doctor and my great bestie i am getting through it.
no weight on the foot for 4-6 weeks due to removal of bone for the replacemnt, and then another 24weeks for total healing time.
thanks for all the prayers and get wells

Great to hear you are on the mend.
Six months before you'll be able to give Nunn the boot? What a shame![;)]
In all seriousness this probably isn't too high a price to pay as your little stubbed toe may well have saved your entire leg or possibly your life.
Take good care of yourself. Be patient. Give Nunn a break from time to time as he's a pretty good guy.
Too old to live...too young to die...
but its kind of funny.I am bandage from the feet to the knee and I have a splint to protect the heel bone,,so it looks like i had a big thing done and when I tell people its only the big toe and they see my whole leg wrapped its like ooooooh really
It sure is good to hear you are healing up and coming closer to the end of this whole thing.
Good luck!
