Is this cartridge any good and what does it compare to.

I am trying to figure out if it is an answer to a question that was never asked. Seems like the 357 can do it all above or below (with the .38 loaded in there).
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

It's just another gun to sell. No purpose needed.
I tried it in a friends SP101 before I bought mine in 357

I THink it was designed to give you 357 performance in a lightweight pistol that can hold 6rds in a cylinder of the same size as a 5 shot 38/357

Thanks Allen for giving me a clue.
I don't know much, but what I do know I may well have learned here on GB.
IF, you needed and wanted a clue I wanted to help.
Have studied up some on the WSSM, WSM, RSAM and the RUMs and have been getting some experience with same.
For some folks those will fit their needs, wants, desires or curiosities best.
Some fit their ticket better than the same old Wichester .32Special or .30-30 that there Granpa or Greatgrandpa used. [;)]
Best to you Dave. [:)]
Try finding 223 WSSM or 243 WSSM in stores. Not easily found.
The 327 was/is the same way. I can find 357 all day long but there are some dry spells when my friend cannot find goodies to feed his SP101.
It is amazing how much difference there is across the country. 7MM-08 is pretty easy to find in the south. Harder to find above the Colorado/Kansas line.
The only real problem I see with new calibers coming out is availability.

I shot one and it shot well. A plus is that the 327mag can also fire .32 H&R Mag. and .32 S&W Long
Similar ballistics to the Russian 7.62x25 autopistol load and better than the 30 Luger round from a 6" barrel.
Penetration w/fmj has to be excellent.
Flat shooting, it should be a good woods gun.
It has to be very noisy.
I think i will get a 327 instead of a 38
make sure you save your pennies so you can afford to feed it.

dave it's a gun that answers a question nobody was probably asking for--like 1/2 the calibers that have come out in the last 40 years. I can see it's use though. Gives you 6 shots in a normally 5 shot handgun--and in the Ruger Blackhawk you get 8 shots. Ability to shoot at least 4 different cartridges through it(you probably could shoot .32acp in it too but you might get split cases). Less recoil than a .357 Mag but treading on it's heels for power. I think it COULD be a better gun to buy a wife or girlfriend or novice shooter because you can start them off with the lower powered rounds--the more they practice they more they will shoot it--especially if it's not stinging their hands.
Ammo starts around $18 a box depending on what you buy or if you reload then cheaper.
