Been shopping for a carry gun for the wife. SHE liked the Shield the most of what she tried. She wants the 9mm version with the thumb safety. Wants the laser added later. Finding prices from $374 to $449 (Cabelas). Asked the Cabelas rep if they price match..not usually. .ok will give the business to the local guy. The $374 includes the shipping as he didn't have it in stock...some on GunBroker for $350 but will be more than $374 after shipping. You guys that own one how has it been? She will be taking a ladies pistol class before carrying it. I also considered the Ruger LC9 but it's almost the same price as the Shield but only comes with one mag...and I think the Shield is a more durable gun.

So I looked at Glock 43?s, SIG P365?s and the Shields(I have an XD/s in .45acp but wanted a new gun in 9mm and after the bs Springfield pulled in Illinois I?ll never buy anything by them again.. I liked the Shield the most so picked it up and had money left over to put in the bank...got a bunch of Cabelas gift cards for my birthday that I used to buy a holster and ammo. Went with the regular 1st gen gun...the salesperson showed me several versions and I liked this one vs the ported. And of course my wife loved it lol so may be getting her one to go with her M&P Bodyguard .380
You guys that have Shields have you had any problems?
...after charging the gun (which can be done prior to leaving home), all you have to do to bring it into sight alignment with the target, and firmly grasp the handle.
Now, the big thing here, folks, is that to de-cock, and to place the gun on safety is to simply drop the firearm into your pocketbook!
Refer to squeeze-cock weapons, if you would need more of an indication of what I'm alluding to here. Thanks, and Best!
