They have something I need in stock....but they are NOT taking orders. How on GOD'S GREEN EARTH does a company work this way???

    If it can be picked up in the store I'd be happy to pick it up and ship it to you. Theres a Cabelas in my town so it would be easy. If they don't have it in stock in Union Gap they will ship it to that store for free and then I can ship it.

    Kasey I got your email. I'll check to see if they have one....should have said though anything but guns are free to ship...guns they do charge to ship from store to store because they ship guns 2nd day. I do go by other Cabelas as well so if this one does not have it I can check others too. I also have a local shop that carries what you were looking for so I'll stop in there too and see what he might be selling it for.

    I don't get it either since she is a FFL..maybe they don't sell to FFL's as they view them as competition?

    they probably know they can sell it over the counter in a few hours right now, and figure the extra trouble of processing the order isn't worth the hassle?? This panic buying environment has done all kinds of strange things to business practices,...as well as ethics.

    Ok Kasey, just found out whats going on. They will sell to you as an FFL if its an item thats not fast moving..and with the craze everything is fast moving. The gun you want is located in Hammond, Indiana only at the moment. My local store could get it to WA but there is a $25 shipping fee and then with tax & shipping back to you in AL you would be better off just getting the one off of GB. The guy at my store said you should call Hammond directly and talk to someone in the gun dept. Maybe one of the GB members who lives near the Hammond store could help? I'm heading to my other local dealer to see what he has.

    The thing that drives me crazy about these things is the guy I'm helping is looking around the internet.....and sees two rifles for sale on GB, but at the same time Cabellas has it advertised for over $100 cheaper. You call them and it is in stock. I don't know why the website is even there at this point????

    This is for a Henry Big Boy 357.

    The person that wants it owns a company that does elevators. He is a HOOT! He has that fantastic old "Hamiltonian" Southern accent.....the Warner Brother's Cartoon guy in the white suit that had the dog named Belvedeer comes to mind.

    He emailed me about 6 kinds of guns he wanted. I'm bidding on auctions for him....but that Cabellas thing has been frustrating.

    Guy at Cabelas said those Big Boy rifles are extremely popular and hard to keep in stock.
