Anyone in here ever heard of a swordmaker called Phil Hartsfield? I can't seem to find out much about him except he is from CA and makes topend swords. I found one small handknife he made on the net and it was $600 One blog I noticed online said his swords cost as much as $3000 a piece now?
The reason I'm asking is that my Uncle left me 7 Phil Hartsfield swords and 3 daggers from his AZ estate. Enclosed are some pics.

Do you consider them to be heirlooms? Or are you going to sell them? Either way, I can understand wanting to know their value.
How about some better pics? Closeups, detail and all that, you know?
check out Jody Samson. sounds like they're about in the same league.

although I guarantee you neither one of them can make a katana as good as one made with the traditional methods.
