Springfield Problems

I am having trouble with some of the Springfield pistols. The XD40 developed a crack in the frame, an XDS 45 had feeding problems, I returned it to Springfield, they worked on it, returned it, it fed the ammo just fine but the bar that shows a round is up the tube does not work. I have an XD Mod 2 45 that does not eject properly. The only Springfield I have that functions properly is an XDM 9MM.
Has anyone here had any problems with their pistols? I have used Springfield for years and started having problems in the last 3 years.
I have not used any +P ammo, I have not used reloaded ammo, I only use Federal or Hornady ammo.

    Wow
you do have your share of problems with them .
I have a xds and a xdm both 45 acp . the XDS went in for the recall just after I bought it , but no issues other than that , but then I have not shot more than a couple hundred rounds thru them .
will be interesting to see the responses

I've got an xd40 sc, bought it from a guy that shot it in competition. I looked it over good and tried it out, no problems. Got it for a song.

XD40SC-since 2003, several thousand rounds, no problem
    XD40 Service-since 2008, a couple thousand rounds, no problem
XDS45-since 2014, a couple hundred rounds, no problem
XDS9-since 2014, (My wife's) a couple hundred rounds, no problem

I bought both XDS pistols after the recall.

I guess you're having a streak of bad luck. Hope things work out for you.

I have 3 XD's in 45, 1 XDM in 45, and 1 XDS in 45. The only problem I have had with any of them is the 4 7rd. mags for my XDS. The 4 mags would all FTF. I have 3 of the 5rd. mags and never had a problem. The 7rd mags are at SA now and hope to get them back soon. Let you know how they work when I get them back.

I have not had any problems with magazines, I have fired less than 100 rounds through the XDS 45 and 75-80 rounds through the XD Mod 2 45. I am only shooting the XDM 9MM now, it functions perfectly. My old faithful 1911 Colt is back in use, has never failed me. My FFL dealer is trying to find a 40 frame so I can fix the 40 I have with the cracked frame. I am not sure I even want to fix it.

    That's just not right.

What I have done with a similar problem (different manufacturer) was send a certified letter to the CEO, detailing my problems. He had the custom shop manager contact me, & he sent me a return shipping label & did a complete rebuild on the gun. Had there been a problem with the frame, he would have sent me a new gun.

You have the right to expect no less. Give it a try.

    +2 !!!!!!

I have 7 different Springfield products currently.....Never had any issues with any of them other than the XDs recalls. I would be raising all kinds of noise if I were you.

Springfield did repair the XDS, it had the feeding problem, however, the bar on the slide that indicates a round in the tube no longer works. I am seriously considering buying another brand of handguns, I am very tired of problem after problem. The Springfield rifles I have function extremely well.

I will send a letter and see if they will repair the pistols. Thanks for the advice.

That's a "chamber loaded indicator." an easy fix.
