I could see a few needing this like border agents, but not much more than that

Some use if the SHTF or you're hunting in deep woods where a GPS isn't another loose piece of equipmentto get lost.
What looks useful is the apparently large storage compartment for spare parts,batteries and tools.
The price though doesn't compute.

For $325, I'd get it (if I had an AR) and when not in use, mount it to my dash. [:D]

My $70 Bushnell Backtracker does just fine and I can take it anywhere unlike that thing. That stock goes over the KISS principle that should be on a gun.

For civilian purposes, no need. It'd be handy to have while patrolling, so you can keep both hands on the rifle & glance down to see your GPS, then back up. Most of us don't do that very often though.

I'm sure it'll look great on airsoft toys though.
