I know the census post got some folks angry, but I just wanted to remind everyone of one little thing.
Hitler used the census to identify the Jews so he could round them up when the time came.
That is reason enough for me to answer how many people live in my house and nothing else, especially when the mindset of younger folks is for bigger government and I don't trust an administration who thinks I'm a domestic terrorist because I am former military, cling to my bible and guns, and believe and support the constitution and the bill of rights.
Call me paranoid, but trust is something I don't have when it comes to government.

If only more people would adopt it when the census worker, or census paperwork arrive, at your doorstep.
The 1850 census collected the following information.
* name
* address
* age
* sex
* color (white, black or mulatto) for each person
* whether deaf and dumb, blind, insane or idiotic
* value of real estate owned (required of all free persons)
* profession, occupation or trade of each male over 15 years of age
* place (state, territory or country) of birth
* whether married within the year
* whether attended school within the year
* whether unable to read and write (for persons over 20)
* whether a pauper or convict
I requested ECC to delete it when I knew I was going to lose it on a certain member here that lied repeatedly.
Just wanted to clear up what happened.
It was MY request.

You are stall harping about a statement I made .." If I did not make $50.00 a hour to "paint " what ever would I do..." That statement was meant as a bit of humor.. It was not a lie ,never said I was making $50.00 at my Census job in fact I admitted I was only making $11.00 a hr both on line and in a email.
You Grouped all Census Address Canvass takers as members of ACORN which I tried to explain that we are not ..

* address - NEPA, 2nd house on the right
* age - young enough to get in trouble, old enough to know better
* sex - as much as I can get
* color (white, black or mulatto) for each person - sunburned
* whether deaf and dumb, blind, insane or idiotic - drunk
* value of real estate owned (required of all free persons) - not enough
* profession, occupation or trade of each male over 15 years of age - capitalist tool
* place (state, territory or country) of birth - NEPA
* whether married within the year - too long
* whether attended school within the year - does well pump school count?
* whether unable to read and write (for persons over 20) - I are litarate
* whether a pauper or convict - Obama will make me both
there, I filled out the questionaire
When the cenus lady came to my house she just verified the house number ask if it was a single family dwelling and left.
That's just phase one, the mapping phase. There may be another to spot check her. (That was my job in phase one of the 2000 Census.)
The census costs enough without people causing problems that run the costs way up.
