I have all the M&P semi-auto line of pistols.

Use the M&P 40 Compact for carry and love shooting the full size for target and plinking. The compact is easy to shoot and control.

Own three Glocks but like the M&P best for shooting and carry primarily for the ergonomics otherwise they are pretty equal in performance, accuracy and reliability.

Carried one for about two years as duty gun. While I prefer my Glock and shoot better with it, I had no problems with reliability and function. For me, I started policing with a Glock, therefore, I am more comfortable with it. Now, I do know for a fact that our local sheriff's dept had problem after problem with thiers. Triggers were breaking left and right. Atlanta P.D also suffered the same problems and Smith recalled about 600 pistols from APD alone. All that being said, my dept. had no problems at all and we were the first in Georgia to use the M&P.

Mine shoots patterns instead of groups. Put a 357Sig barrel in it.
A friends will only shoot 180gr. good.

Mine did the same thing. But add in a trigger that felt like it had sand in it and an extractor that was so weak it would drop hot brass onto the back of your hand and you'll understand why I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I loved the ergos but that wasn't enough. Got an HK P30 to replace it and couldn't be happier
