Boston Market dinners

Ok, trust me on this one. Do not buy the Boston Market frozen dinners. They are the kind of thing that gives crap a bad name. Banquet is three times as good, and half the price. And, Banquet isn't all that great.

Unfortunately, I still have three to either toss, or choke down.

I am not that particular.

Blech........[xx(]

Peace

Dan

I would rather eat a grilled cheese sandwich and a can of tomato soup. Its fast easy and tastes good that crap is garbage.

Take care buddy and if you have to eat that crap at least wash it down with good whisky[;)]

For the love of god man, stop eating CRAP and learn to cook! IT IS NOT HARD!

There are at least 100 brazilian recipes online for "fast and easy" meals.

Use google, and make something decent!

I am not particular. Pretty much anything to get me by. Just tired, and didn't want to cook, so I bought a few of these. So far, I have had the Salisbury steak, with macaroni and cheese! Who the hell puts mac and cheese in with Salisbury steak? Man, I can hardly choke down mac and cheese under the best of conditions. Next day was a chicken fried steak, with gravy and mashed potato's. And I thought the mac and cheese was bad. Suffice it to say, I hadn't eaten anything but a banana all day, and I still threw half of it in the trash. Now, I can cook real good when I want to. I just haven't wanted to for a long time. No appetite to speak of, and the clean up is more trouble than the meal is worth. Now, if I am cooking for somebody else, I don't mind, but just for me, nah. And, I ave found that those 5'2" dishwashers are a hell of a lot more trouble than they are worth.

Guess I'll just go back to a steady diet of ham and onion sandwiches.

    Peace

    Dan

a bit overpriced, but they don't taste bad at all to me. don't see how anybody could hate them that much.

yes, I would rather spend 30c more and skip 1/2 hour of cooking.

I've never had any frozen food from any of the chain restaurants to actually taste like the actual food they serve in their restaurants.

Frozen dinners is why so many gastroenterologists drive Mercedes! I have cooked for 50+ years mostly for myself. Granted, I love to cook but there is a way that not just saves a lot of money, is healthy, and doesn't take a large amount of time. First I bought a large freezer. I always buy meat that is on sale and freeze what I don't want to prepare that day or so. The same for veggies and if I buy a 5# bag of potatoes, I may bake a couple for dinners but try to use the others in a stew or similar meals. I always make huge receipe portions and freeze one meal amounts for what I won't eat that day. Yeah, prep time remains the same but it's spread over 4-5 days of meals. It's works for me folks.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

The Boston Market restaurants here all folded. That food was not great either.

I do miss the actual Boston Market Stores. Loved their whole rotisserie chicken.

Who makes the family pack of Salisbury Steak and Gravy? I think 8 patties and an ocean of brown goop. Throw some cooked pasta and a bit of sour cream. That's eating [:D].

Just in the interests of research-and since I already have them, and I am way too cheap to just throw them in the trash can.....

    Out of 10 stars.....

    Salisbury steak- +2
country fried steak- -two million [xx(]
    Cheese manicotti-+4.5

Actually, the cheese manicotti is quite edible, if not gourmet. Needed a lot of Parmesan cheese and garlic salt, and you have to eat it with a spoon, because the sauce, while not too bad, is awfully runny.

    More to come.....

    Don't change that Bat channel!!!!

    Peace

Have only ate at a Boston Market twice. First ok it was a bad day, a fluke, for the over priced food. The second time confirmed my thought of first time, over priced. Never walk in one again
