alarm clock / watch that works with tinnitus

I had a great alarm clock radio/tape deck I bought in 1998 that I could adjust the volume on. The buttons to set the time and alarm finally gave out.

I've tried 3 different alarm clocks and even the two that claimed to be loud were pitched in a tone that pretty much matches the ringing in my ears. Wrist watches that chime the hour or have an alarm are the same way.

I've tried searching for "loud" alarms but either I'm using the wrong terms or there aren't any.

Given the nature of this forum I bet someone can help me find the right alarm clock.

Sonic Alert SBB500SS Sonic Bomb Loud Dual Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker Got it for my brother and he said its loud but he does not have a ringing ears problem, just doesn't get up easy. He never tried the bed shaker part but its a option if you can handle it.

I sleep right through alarms, even loud ones. Working nights for years means that I can sleep anywhere, any time!

The one thing that wakes me up is when the alarm clock has it where you can wake up to the radio. That wakes me up instantly. So does my cell phone alarm, when I put it on vibrate. It doesn't make hardly any noise, but wakes me up instantly.

I have tinnitus BAD,,I use my cell phone as an alarm,,I went through all the sounds and found one that worked for me,, Its the one that sounds like a tornado siren..

I down loaded and set my phone with a classic music ring tone that would wake the dead ( me ) sounds a little like the lone ranger theme
also as my ring tone it gets attention [:0]

I use a radio alarm, if you can still find one with am/fm. set it to am just near a station so as much static as voice. then turn volume up, the static wakes me better than music or beeping/tone alarm........

Thanks to all who replied. I'm leery of alarms for deaf since my g/f and I work different shifts and not sure how all the critters might be affected (especially the birds), but I surely should have thought to use that as a search term, thanks, Ditch Runner.

Small Sony clock radio set on news station. I have significant hearing loss but it always wakes me (can't tell what they're saying but doesn't matter).

I also have tinnitus plus the left ear is mostly decoration the right is only about fifty per cent hearing.

I have an old radio clock alarm, but I go right through the limited noise it makes

I bought one of those double bell alarm clocks at Walmart place it across the room when it goes off it wakes me and have to get up to shut it off. Stops me from sneaking back to bed plus once it goes off drives you nuts
